Nebraska RFP 2991Z1: Post-Adoption & Post-Guardianship Services

The State of Nebraska seeks a contractor to provide case management to children and their adoptive/ guardianship families from self-referrals beginning immediately in crisis situations or within 72 hours in non-crisis situations. The contract for RFP 2991Z1 will last from October 5, 2009, through June 30, 2011, with one optional two-year renewal option.

The selected contractor will:

• Provide direct services to families in the identified population as needed such as support groups for adults or children, child counseling; youth support groups, short term respite care, connections to mentor families, educational classes for adoptive parents or guardians, and seminars on common behaviors of children separated from their families of origin who express unexplained feelings of loss and love for birth parents

• Operate a 24/7 phone line for acceptance of referrals and crisis response

• Provide after hour responses to families who are experiencing a crisis
