Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Commissioner's Meeting With Vote on Providing Administrative Services for Medicaid Waiver Programs
The Lancaster County Commissioners agreed to provide Administrative Entity services, which applies to the administration of the Consolidated and
Person/Family Directed Support Waiver Program, for the period July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. Previously, the county managed the state and federal
funding for the programs. However, the state of Pennsylvania has changed policy and taken control of the federal program funding; if the commissioners had
not approved the agreement, the state would have appointed an administrator for the programs. Under the agreement, as the administrative entity the County of
Lancaster will oversee utilization of the Consolidated and Person/Family Directed Support Waiver Program within the county. The agreement was retroactive to
July 1, 2009, and will last through June 30, 2010.
