ShareAnalysis of New Interim Final TANF Rules

As a result of the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005, states must begin documenting the work or work-related activities of people who receive Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF). States are expected to begin documentation on October 1, 2006. The DRA also changed the types of activities that qualify as  work, and increased the number of hours that TANF recipients must spend in approved, supervised work activities.
