 Sam & Tony M. v. Carcieri
The Rhode Island Child Advocate filed a lawsuit in federal court against
the state
Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). The lawsuit, Sam &
Tony M. v. Carcieri, alleges that DCYF failed to protect foster children from abuse in foster
care homes,
shelters, and institutions and failed to offer proper counseling and
treatment to children in the foster care system.
