Richard Scampone vs. Grane Healthcare Company

This report contains the court proceedings in the case of Richard Scampone vs. Grane Healthcare Company. After the death of his 94-year-old mother, Richard Scampone filed suit against Highland Park Care Center, a nursing home alleging that his mother's death was a result of substandard care from the nursing home. The jury found not only Highland Park Care Center to be liable for Mrs. Scampone's death, but Grane Healthcare Company, which provided management services, was also found liable for Mrs. Scampone's death because Grane had corporate control.
