RFP-2006-06-05-CPS Request for Proposals for the Purchase of Preparation for Adult Living Case Management and Aftercare Services

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is soliciting proposals from prospective providers for the provision of case management and aftercare services to youth under 21 years of age who have left, or soon will be leaving, the foster care system by virtue of "aging out." These services are authorized pursuant to the Department's Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) program. The provision of services resulting from this request for proposals will be arranged under contract(s) to be awarded through the Department's Child Protective Services Division in Region 07. Proposals are due by August 7, 2006.

The contract start date will be September 1, 2006. DFPS may award one or more contracts under this procurement. The geographic area to be served is the 30 county-area comprising the Department's Region 07. Agreement to provide services in all 30 counties is required in order to obtain a contract. It is anticipated that approximately 350 youth will require services during the initial 12-month contract period. The maximum available funding for services purchased under this procurement's initial contract period, which extends from September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007, is $750,000.
