 2007 Louisiana Senate Bill 97
The Louisiana Legislature is considering the Senate Bill 97, that
would ease the effects of a 2005 moratorium nursing home
expansion. The bill was introduced by Senator Tom Schedler on April
18, 2007. SB 97 would permit up to 30 additional beds in a
continuing care community to be licensed and if specific criteria
are met. A key consideration is that the new beds will not be
eligible for Title XIX (Medicaid).
