SharePractice Guidelines for Recovery-Oriented Behavioral Health Care

The report, 'Practice Guidelines for Recovery-Oriented Behavioral Health Care' was prepared for The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) by the Yale University Program for Recovery and Community Health.

The notion of recovery is the focus of debate between various constituencies within the mental health and addiction communities. The report clarifies the sources of these constituencies and establishes practice guidelines to operate the recovery-oriented system of behavioral health care. DMHAS has promoted a new recovery-oriented system through various DMHAS education, training, and program development initiatives.
