National Hospital Discharge Survey: Annual Summary, 1996
The National Center for Health Statistics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have released the 1996 national hospital discharge survey results. 1996,
2.2 million hospital discharges were for children under age 15; representing 7% of the 30.5 million hospital discharges for all ages that year.
