 Chapter 500: Covered Services, Limitations, and
Exclusions, for MR/DD Waiver Services
Change Log West Virginia
Mental Retardation and Developmental Disability services will be
changed to reflect terms of a new five-year waiver. The changes in
the waiver will afford West Virginia Medicaid beneficiaries greater
freedom to direct the services performed on their behalf.
Beneficiaries will be allotted funding to choose service providers.
The changes were adopted on June 27, 2006. Some were effective as of
July 1, 2006. Most of the changes become effective as of October 1,
2006, to allow the State to train providers on new processes and
documentation.
