System Settlement With Federal Government
Saint Barnabas Health Care System
(SBHCS) agreed to make payments to the United States that
total $265 million. The settlement will be paid according to a
schedule, and the first payment will be made by July 1, 2006. This
settlement will enable SBHCS to continue to participate with
Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health plans.
