 Arkansas Supreme Court Decision on Department of Human Services and Child
Welfare Agency Review Board Foster Parent Policy
The court ruled against the Arkansas Department of Human Services
and Child Welfare Agency Review Board Foster Parent policy that
specified that foster parents must be heterosexual. The policy that
had barred individuals with same-sex orientations from serving as
foster parents was deemed unconstitutional.
