One-Year Outcomes Report Short Term Residential Treatment Facility Pilot Program
Magellan Health Services released outcomes of a one-year short-term residential treatment facility pilot developed
by Magellan in collaboration with Lehigh and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania.
The pilot, which launched in May 2009, included three local providers of residential treatment services—Warwick House, The
Shawnee Academy, and the Children's Home of Reading. The pilot design featured a clinician-case manager team that simultaneously worked with
residents and their families with a focus on discharge planning and building
community-based supports and ongoing, community-based treatment.
