 CMS Statement of Deficiencies at Howe Developmental Center
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reviewed operations
at Howe Developmental Center in Illinois. Following the inspection, CMS
revoked Howe Developmental Center's Medicaid certification. The Illinois
Department of Human Services (DHS) remains committed to recertification
for the Howe Developmental Center. DHS seeks to have Howe's certification
reinstated. DHS has clear action plans to address the new issues cited by
the surveyors in this evaluation of the Howe Developmental Center's
compliance.
