World Report on Disability
The World Health Organization (WHO) has released its new global disability trends report.
In addition to estimating disability prevalence and the level of severity, WHO
reviewed tools used to identify persons with disabilities to evaluate if the
tools could be used to forecast future need for supportive services. In the recommendation,
WHO advised countries to use tools that define disability in terms of functional
difficulties to better describe the extent of disability prevalence.
