World Report on Disability

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released its new global disability trends report. In addition to estimating disability prevalence and the level of severity, WHO reviewed tools used to identify persons with disabilities to evaluate if the tools could be used to forecast future need for supportive services. In the recommendation, WHO advised countries to use tools that define disability in terms of functional difficulties to better describe the extent of disability prevalence.
