Share1811 Eastlake: First-Year Preliminary Findings


Researchers reported that Seattle, Washington saved $2 million in its first year of the 1811 Eastlake Pilot Program. The program's first year ran from December 2005 to August 2006. Findings also noted that residents of Eastlake used crisis and emergency health care system less than in the past, that residents were drinking less, and also that residents were having a less negative impact on their community than in the past. 1811 Eastlake is a program designed to serve homeless men and women with chronic alcohol addiction in the Seattle area.
