The presentation reviews Medicaid behavioral health financing options used in various states. This presentation was given by Richard H. Dougherty, Ph.D., at a symposium
organized by the Hilltop Institute entitled "Moving Forward: Designing and Financing Effective Mental Health Services in an Era of Transformation." Dr. Dougherty,
president of DMA Health Strategies, reviewed several Medicaid behavioral health financing options, including the authority/collaborative arrangements between mental
health agencies and other state or local level entities.
