 Telemedicine and
Telehealth Grant and Contract Awards for FY 2003/2004
Appearing below is a
list of U.S. federal telemedicine and telehealth grants awarded in
FY 2003 and the first part of 2004. The total federal dollars
included in this list is approximately $88 million. The list is
sorted by state. In every case, the name of the grantee and city
is included. In some cases, the address and contact name for the
recipient as well as a brief project description is also included.
This is a partial list and only includes federal programs that
specifically target health care services using telecommunications.
This should not be considered a complete list of all federally
funded projects supporting telemedicine. For example, the list
does not include DOD contracts or other federal programs awarding
grants and contracts that include telemedicine as a secondary
component. It also does not include FCC Rural Health Program
subsidies of telecommunications costs.
