In 1992, Title V was added to the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, establishing the Incentive Grants for Local Delinquency Prevention Programs, more commonly known as the Community Prevention Grants program. This two-page fact sheet provides an overview of the program, which focuses on reducing risk factors and enhancing protective factors to prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice system.
