 A Report to the Secretary Analysis of Florida
Safe Families Network Data on Psychotropic Medication
The review was conducted at
the direction of DCF Secretary George Sheldon following a child death
in April. He directed staff to verify that the Florida
Safe Families Network database and the case files both
properly described the child's use of psychotropic medication. He also
directed that staff verify the existence of a parental consent or a court
order authorizing the child to receive such medication.
