New York City ACS Child Welfare Services Including Community Partnerships Request for Proposals PIN 0682009CWSCP
On June 30, 2010, the New York City Administration for Children's Services (ACS) told child welfare service provider organizations in the city that it would
rescind its prior recommendations for awards made in response to a May 2009 request for proposals. ACS said it intended to re-evaluate its proposal
scoring decisions for contracts valued at $470 million. The new contracts had been slated to start July 1, 2010, for an initial period ending June 30, 2013,
and renewal options through June 30, 2019. The re-evaluation was prompted by complaints that ACS had not given adequate weight to community ties of
the provider organizations. This RFP seeks qualified vendors to operate foster care and preventive services programs for families and children residing in
all 5 New York City boroughs, and serve as Community Partnership Contractors for 11 Community Partnerships.
