Health Reform: Help for Americans With Pre-Existing Conditions

The Lewin Group for Families USA Foundation reviewed what health plans consider "pre-existing health conditions," and found that 22% of Americans have a pre- existing health condition that health plans usually refuse to cover. The 69 pre-existing conditions reviewed included chemical dependency, psychotic disorders, and a range of physical conditions.
