Recovery Act: States' & Localities' Uses of Funds & Actions Needed to Address Implementation Challenges & Bolster Accountability
The Government Accountability Office reported on the distribution and oversight of funding dedicated through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) by the federal Office of Head Start and other agencies. The report covers the uses of and accountability for ARRA funds in 16 selected states, certain localities, and the District of Columbia. The selected jurisdictions were estimated to have received about two-thirds of ARRA grant funding.
