 New Mexico Statewide Behavioral Health Services Contract FY 2008
The New Mexico Statewide Behavioral Health Collaborative amended its
contract with ValueOptions New Mexico
(VONM). The contract is valued at $370 million in state and federal
funding. The new contract terms include an
increase in the percentage of funds that can be used for
administrative purposes. Previously only eight percent
was allowed to be used for administrative costs; this new contract
permits 11% for administrative costs. However,
the increase is slightly less than three percent and is an average
across all funding streams. Some programs
allow a higher administrative rate, while others are lower. During
the FY 2007 contract the average admin costs
were at 8.9% and for FY 2008 it will be, on average, closer to 11%.
