Rethinking Mental Illness

Thomas R. Insel and Philip S. Wang co-wrote the report titled Rethinking Mental Illness. In their report, Insel and Wang point out that research on mental illness is slowly reaching an infection point. Soon researchers will need to rely on insights gained from genetics and neuroscience to help transform the understanding the psychiatric illness. In this report, Insel and Wang suggest ways in which genomics and neuroscience will help reconceptualize disorders of the mind as disorders on the brain.
