Support Senate Bill 326 (Currie) Nursing Home Reform
The
Illinois Senate sent a nursing home reform bill to Governor Pat Quinn. The bill called for nursing homes to conduct rigorous background checks and psychological
screenings for incoming residents. It also called for nursing homes to increase the staffing
level to a minimum of 3.8 hours of care per day for residents needing
skilled care and 2.5 hours minimum for residents needing intermediate care.
