Washington Federation of State Employees' Notice for Preliminary Injunction

On May 5, 2011, the Washington Federation of State Employees filed a motion for preliminary injunction against the Washington State Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to halt a procurement to privatize certain child welfare services. On May 13, 2011, the Thurston County Superior Court granted the preliminary injunction which ordered DSHS to cancel their procurement for private sector child welfare lead agencies.
