The Governor's Plan to Invest in Wisconsin's Future
KidsFirst is a
comprehensive agenda to invest in Wisconsin's future by
improving the lives of the state's children. The plan outlines
Governor Doyle's priorities to make sure children are ready for
success; are safe at home, in school and in their communities;
have the opportunity to be raised by strong families; and grow up
healthy. The plan includes a wide range of initiatives -
public-private partnerships, legislative proposals, budget
priorities - that were developed in an unique collaboration of
the Governor, First Lady, School Superintendent, and the
secretaries of the Departments of Health and Family Services,
Workforce Development and Corrections.
