Preventing Alzheimer's Disease and Cognitive Decline: Evidence Report/Technology Assessment

The Duke Evidence-based Practice Center presented their evidence report and technology assessment, Preventing Alzheimer's Disease and Cognitive Decline, to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The objective of their work was to assess whether previous research on alleged risk or protective factors for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and cognitive decline is of enough strength to warrant specific recommendations for behavioral, lifestyle, or pharmaceutical modifications targeted to these endpoints. The results of this report were compiled from a total of 25 systematic reviews and 250 primary research studies. The objective, data sources, review methods, and results are contained in this report.
