Texas's Heath and Human Services Executive Commissioner, Thomas Suehs, published his report, House Select Committee on Federal Legislation: Federal Health Care Reform-Impact to Texas Health and Human Services. In his report, Suehs discusses the direct and indirect impact the federal healthcare reform will have on Texas's Health and Human Services. The direct impacts he analyzes in the report are Medicaid eligibility expansion and Health Insurance exchange, and the secondary impacts he analyzes are client base for existing state and local programs serving the uninsured and employer insurance mandates impact on providers of health and human services.
