 Healthcare Trends in America: A Reference Guide from BCBSA
This is the ninth edition of "Healthcare Trends in America: A
Reference Guide from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association." The
report examines health care cost drivers and economic trends affecting
health care affordability. It includes data on international and national
health spending, health insurance coverage and the uninsured, consumer
health care costs, prescription drug spending, and chronic illness. One
section, entitled Changing Care Delivery Models focuses on potential
cost savings from person-centered medical homes, the use of telemedicine,
e-prescribing, and electronic medical records, and consumer interest in
medical tourism.
