California Health Care Almanac: Health Care Costs 101

The California HealthCare Foundation published the report titled Health Care Costs 101. The report, which is part of the California Health Care Almanac, provides a general background of U.S. health spending and details how much we spend, on which services, and what proportion is paid directly by consumers. Examples of the topics included in this report are spending distribution by contributors, prescription drugs by sources of payment, and impact of Medicare.
