Telehealth and Mobile Communications: The New Frontier in Modern Emergency Preparedness

The report titled, Telehealth and Mobile Communications: The New Frontier in Modern Emergency Preparedness, contains the proceedings of a meeting that occurred in Washington D.C. on Monday, April 19, 2010. Darrell West, Vice President and Director of the Governance Studies Program at The Brookings Institution took on the role as the moderator for the meeting. The panelists of the meeting were Alexander Vo, Executive Director at the AT&T Center for Telehealth Research and Policy at the University of Texas at Galveston, Marion Orr, Director of the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Public Policy and American Institutions at Brown University, and Joe Becker, Senior Vice President of Disaster Services at the American Red Cross. The meeting's purpose was to help determine our country's emergency preparedness and ways we can improve our capacity for action by asking the three distinguished expert panelists.
