Utah Department of Human Services Request for Proposal DHS90538 Seeking Children's Residential Treatment for the Division of Child & Family Services/Division of Juvenile Justice Services

The Utah State Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Child and Family Services, Division of Juvenile Justice Services sought a contractor to provide Medicaid-funded moderate- and high-level residential treatment services as well as outpatient mental health services and wrap services for children and youth in the custody of DHS. The request for proposal included updated guidelines for provider organization to ensure that residential treatment facilities were not operating as Institutions of Mental Disease. The request for proposal also included a new unbundled rate structure for residential care. Proposals were due by May 12, 2010; contracts were slated to start in August 2010.
