 DCF Total FY07 Budget
The proposed $1.4 billion budget for the new Department of Children
and Families includes three revenue sources:
- Federal funding is projected at
$408 million (29%)
- State funding is projected at $974
million (69%)
- State facilities education act
funding is projected at $30 million (2%)
The state funding for DCF will come
from four sources:
- Office of Children's Services
(OCS) fiscal year 2006 funding base of $739 million (75%)
- OCS caseload growth & priority
child welfare
funding $117 million
(12%)
- Department of Human Services
shifted funds $103 million (11%)
- Capital Improvements
$15 Million (2%)
