United States v. State of Texas Monitoring Team Report for San Antonio State Supported Living Center
Since January 2010, compliance monitoring teams approved by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) and Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services
(DADS) have been conducting baseline reviews. At the San Antonio State Supported Living
Center, monitoring teams found the facility had eliminated the use of physical restraints for individuals in behavioral or psychiatric emergencies. They also found
support and services were not provided in an integrated manner. The facility also failed to properly and thoroughly identify individuals at-risk of injury.
