The New York Office of Persons With Disabilities (OPWDD) presented an update of a reform initiative that started in 2011 to transform its system of supports and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The goal is to modernize outdated system structures that limit individualsÂ’ independence and achievement of their goals and create a more person-centered approach to meeting needs and supporting improved outcomes.
