Nonmedical Use of Adderall among Full-Time College Students

The National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) published the report titled, Nonmedical Use of Adderall among Full-Time College Students in April 2009. The nonmedical use of Adderall is of special interest to policymakers because it is a member of the group of legally approved drugs classified as having the highest potential for dependence of abuse. In this issue of the NSDUH report, readers will find the rates of the nonmedical use of Adderall in the past year among full-time college students aged 18 to 22 and compared these rates to other aged persons who were not full-time college grads. All the results found in this report are based on combined 2006 and 2007 data.
