ShareRespondent Parents' Counsel Task Force Action Plan

This paper explains the goals and activities of the Respondent Parents' Counsel Task Force, a task force designed to improve the well-being of Colorado's children and families who are involved in dependency courts by assuring the effective legal representation of parents in dependency and neglect proceedings.

Action steps and progress towards each step are described for the following task force priorities: advocacy for resources for respondent parents' counsel; needs-assessment, and provide legal resources and identify available services to families; development of practice guidelines or standards; provide specific training for parents' counsel; and research and define structural outcomes for providing legal representation to parents.
