North Carolina Department of Correction RFP for Statewide Inmate Medical Management Services
On March 31, 2010, the North Carolina Department of Correction released a request for proposals (RFP #201000397) seeking statewide inmate medical
management services for a three-year term with two additional one-year renewal periods. The RFP clearly specifies that the cost proposals must have a firm,
fixed price that includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, technology, general and administrative overhead, and profit. Proposals for reimbursement
rates exceeding 120% of the Medicare rate will not be considered. Proposals are due August 2, 2010. Awards are expected by January 14, 2011. The contractor
will go live on February 15, 2012.
