 National Disability Policy: A Progress Report
The National Council on Disability (NCD) is
required to submit annually to the President and Congress a report
assessing the status of the nation in achieving policies that guarantee
equal opportunity for all individuals with disabilities and that empower
individuals with disabilities to achieve economic self-sufficiency,
independent living, and inclusion and integration into all aspects of
society.
The report "focuses on the current quality of
life of people with disabilities in America and the emerging trends that
should be factored into both the design and evaluation of the Federal
Government's disability policies and programs in the coming years."
