February 1, 2008 This report was given to the North Carolina Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services (MHDDSAS) by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, MHDDSAS Division to update them on the progress of the local management entities pilot program. The program is designed to reduce state psychiatric hospital use in terms of bed days and admissions.
