Health Care Expenditures for Adults Ages 18-64 with a Mental Health or Substance Abuse Related Expense: 2007 versus 1997

More recent data, from FY 2007, on health care expenditures related to mental health and substance abuse has been released by the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). The report found that 23.9 million non-institutionalized adults in the civilian population had mental health and substance abuse-related expenses.
