New Mexico Health Information Exchange Strategic & Operational Plans

New Mexico was awarded $7.0 million over four years to support planning and development for a Health Information Exchange (HIE). The New Mexico Health Information Collaborative (NMHIC) is also funded by a $6.1 million award to serve as a regional extension center in cooperation with other organizations. The implementation plan elaborates how the organizations will help health care professionals adopt, implement, and meaningfully use health information technology, such as electronic health records.
