Side-by-Side Comparison of Health Reform Bills' Impact on Medicare: Final Health Reform Bill and Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

The report, Side-by-Side Comparison of Health Reform Bills Impact on Medicare, published by the Medicare Rights Center compares the Final Health Reform Bill (Senate and reconciliation) to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Senate Bill). The report compares the changes occurring under the legislation of the two bills from different aspects of the Medicare system. The aspects compared are prescription drugs, preventive services, doctors, care coordination, hospitals and other facilities, private Medicare Advantage health plans, Medicare payment advisory board, policies to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare, means testing Medicare, assistance for low-income people with Medicare, Medicare part A Payroll Tax, and financial solvency.
