Crossroads Center for Change Appeal of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction Contract Termination

Following a statewide review of halfway houses and community-based correctional facilities (CBCFs) recidivism rates, on March 2, 2010, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) put six CBCFs on notice and will end contracts with three low-performing halfway houses as of June 30, 2010. ODRC will end its contracts with Nova House in Dayton; Crossroads Center for Change in Mansfield, and Southwest Ohio Serenity Hall in Hamilton. ODRC contracts with 44 halfway house provider organizations. On March 19, 2010, Crossroads Center for Change appealed ODRC's decision.
