 Medi-Cal Managed Care Expansion Aged, Blind, Disabled,
&
Long-Term Care Populations
As the State of California planned to expand managed care into new
populations, it developed two primary expansion models:

Two-Plan and
Geographic Managed Care (GMC)
-
County Organized Health Systems (COHS)
The Two-Plan and GMC models use the same set of aid codes. The COHS
has a slightly different set of codes. The difference is based on
whether a beneficiary is eligible for Medicare. Two-Plan and GMC
exclude those eligible for Medicare. The COHS model includes those
eligible for Medicare. This resources provides demographic
descriptions of those populations.
