Presentation of the fiscal year 2010 budget for Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). DCFS faced a cut of $460 million from its $1.3 billion budget for fiscal year 2010. The cuts would have reduced the foster parent subsidy by 50%, reduced residential rates by 18%, and reduced or eliminated foster parent support and ancillary services.
