 Request for Proposal for Anne Arundel County Mental Health Jail Project
On March 17, 2006, the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Authority issued a request for proposal seeking behavioral health services at the Anne Arundel County Detention Facilities. The annual amount of funds for the proposal is not to exceed $297,000. Proposals are due by April 24, 2006. Awards are projected to be announced after May 4, 2006. The contract is scheduled to begin by July 1, 2006.
The major outcome for the Mental Health Jail Project Program may be measured as providing increased in-house mental health services and aftercare/follow-up services in the community. Measures of the success of assessment, treatment and follow up would be (from a baseline):
- reduced number of re-arrests;
- reduced number of psychiatric hospitalizations for participating individuals;
- reduced number of suicide attempts within the treated population; and
- increased number of persons keeping first clinic appointments.
