United States v. State of Texas Monitoring Team Baseline Report for Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center

Baseline reviews conducted by court monitors at three State Supported Living Centers in Texas—Corpus Christi, Brenham, and El Paso—have identified a variety of areas of improvement that will be tracked as the centers start to comply with the United States Department of Justice settlement agreement in July 2010. At Corpus Christi, the facility is in the first stages of developing individualized planning based on screening tools that identify needs and strengths; policies for abuse, neglect, and incident management; as well as implementing a standardized psychiatric assessment form.
